luppiters chose:
This icon was the result of an icon battle withluppiters, lol! I really liked this screencap that she chose! I love love love this blue dress of Susan's, and her hair is sooooo pretty. I knew I wanted to bring out the blues in the bit of her dress that was showing in the screencap. I also really loved this texture by yunhe 
and felt that it would work perfectly with the screencap. Originally, I was going to do the painted hair look, but I couldn't get it to look right. So, in the end, I ended up sharpening the icon by using the paint daubs feature.
This is one of my very favorite icons from last year! I made this for disney20in20. The theme for this icon was style. I couldn't decide which outfit would be considered to be Mulan's style. The matchmaker outfit is probably the most memorable, but Mulan spends most of the movie wearing her soldier outfit. So I ended up using both, but it took me a while to figure out how to make them harmonize. I went through my over-50,000 image collection of textures (I am not kidding!) until I came across this texture by innocent_lexys 
when the inspiration hit me. I decided to go for the half and half look. I didn't up using the texture, but it definitely inspired me! The background was looking a little bare, so I decided to add a black-and-white texture to add some interest. I ended up using this texutre by crazydelight 
and rotating it to the right.

comeholdmyheart. I knew I wanted to use a screencap of Elizabeth Bennet in her orange spencer jacket. After experimenting with various autumn stock bases, I came across a stock base by innocent_lexys. Then all I had to do was bring out the oranges and blues. Definitely one of my favorite Elizabeth icons! ^^
