I admit that I wasn't expecting this one to win at all! The icon was relatively simple to make once I figured out how I wanted to do the composition. I think the only hard part was using the ellipse tool to get the perfect circle so I could use the path to add the text!

For this round at somein30, I opted to do super hard mode. XD I decided to focus on the Narnia fandom because I think there some interesting vibes with regards to heroism, villainy, and the relationship between them. I planned to do 20 icons, but with all the grading I have to do, I only got to 18 (8 of Edmund and 10 of the White Witch)

So, I decided to participate in Round 1 at somein30. I was so excited when the mods decided open the community! ^^ The theme for this round sounded really interesting, so I decided that I wanted to do extra hard mode for this round. It was called extra hard mode for a reason, lol! I did experience some frustration and wasn't happy with some of the icons, but overall, I was pleased with them. Some of the themes were conflicting, so I had to get really creative. #3 was hard because adding a light texture to an already bright and vibrant icon is pretty difficult. I almost wish I had chosen a different fandom because some of themes were difficult to find caps for. I didn't realize there weren't very many full body shots or faraway shots. ^^' I think some of them turned out pretty well though like #2, 10, and 13.

I thought about doing a Kim Yu-na set because I wasn't quite happy with some of my Emma icons. I also thought about doing two sets, but since I've started working again, I didn't have as much time as I planned.

I've decided to have a sort of fresh start with a name change: aurora_amethyst. Aurora, not for Sleeping Beauty but for the Northern Lights, and Amethyst for the purple gemstone. I honestly love the iridescent aquamarine-colored opal, but it didn't really sound pretty with aurora. The purples of amethyst fit better with the Northern Lights anyway.

I've also posted my old bases and textures in their own catch-all posts since I've deleted my old resource community. My tutorials are still at my personal journal, and the links have been updated. Let me know if anything doesn't work. ^^

luppiters and I recently did a partner battle at itsabattlefield. We each chose two screencaps, one from The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and one from Avengers: Endgame.1-4 are mine, and 5-8 are luppiters' (check out her post here).
