[Tutorial #7] Vibrant, Neon IU

For this icon, I knew I wanted to use a cutout of IU from one of her concerts, but I still wanted to give sort of a "concert" feel. Or really more of an "electric" feel, maybe! ^^
So I started with this texture by![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
heartfullcry.
Then I added another texture, also byheartfullcry, and set it to color, 100% opacity, to give the black and white texture a little more color!
I wanted to add a little pizzazz, lol, so I added this texture fromheartfullcry (again!) and set it to screen, 100% opacity.
Next, I wanted to add a bit of brightness/contrast, so I created this radial gradient and moved it down. Then I set it to soft light, 100% opacity.
At this point, I added the cutout of IU to the icon.
Lastly, I added a vibrance layer with the following settings: vibrance: 100, saturation: 100. You probably could also use a hue-saturation layer to come up with a similar effect.
Voila! There you have it!

Date: 2023-05-20 05:26 am (UTC)Quick question though. For the first grey heartfullcry texture, what setting is it? It just says 'So I started with this texture by [livejournal.com profile] heartfullcry.' with no step for that one. So a bit confused on it.
