Retro_Icontest: Texture Me Up

Five icons for the current retro_icontest challenge. I really had fun trying to be a little more creative with the textures.Initially, I planned on doing a bigger set but ended up just doing five.

These are so neat! I especially like what you did with the two tone purple/brown of the third one, I am not even sure how you did that with that texture.

Actually, the 3rd one was simpler than you'd think. I used the black-and-white texture from the inspo to cut out the purple texture. My favorite way to do it is to add a mask to my texture and paste a black-and-white texture into the mask.

D'awww! Thanks! I knew I wanted to do something a little different with that texture other than the usual negative space or blocking. And overall, I was experimenting with different ways to incorporate the textures more uniquely. ^^

these are all really lovely, but i especially like #s 3 and 4! the coloring and composition of #3 is so, so nice!
